At the end of the internship, there's a ~2 week window where you can apply for mobility within the firm. It's only tricky because you kinda have to be covertly networking throughout the summer to get an interview. You also never really know if your current team/desk will find out if you applied for mobility - which is crucial because not getting a return offer from your current desk is a bad look for a mobility candidate
I see, good point + thanks for the response. Is this available for MO roles too, or is it mostly for moving from one FO division to another?
It was the same process/time window firm wide
GS started a formal program to promote internal mobility a while ago. You need to be 18-24 months in your FT role in order to be able to apply.

What kind of issues/ objections would arise if one wants to switch after a BO/ MO rising junior internship to a FO/ IBD rising senior internship?
