Interviews in the past

Hi fellows,

most of us are pretty young and still in college or are just in the beginning of their career. But I was wondering if some older people here know how interviews for IB were in the past, e.g. 30-40 years ago when there were no BIWS guides and kids didn’t knew the second they were born that they will attend Wharton in order to do gods work.

Was there even a technical part in the interview or how was determined who is sharp enough to work in IB, when it was the place to be in the 80s and 90s and everyone strived for it instead of tech?
