Yea, do it so that you can demonstrate that you know absolutely nothing about banking and get weeded out in the pre-screening round.

Do it so I can take your spot.

seriously no one cares. do that with a very low sharpe ratio and then a few hedge funds might take notice. otherwise never speak of this again.

nystateofmindDo not put in any sort of return on your resume (fzjgdk - ESPECIALLY NOT if it's w/ fucking play money).

let the records show: i was being sarcastic

Best Response

ibanking interview: just put that you are interested in the markets; not like it matters anyway, the only thing you need to be interested in to do banking is shutting your brain off for 2 years

PE interviews: also not very helpful here, but would put your interest down

hf interviews: if you have it as your interest and you put your return, then i would recommend also having back up for at least 1 or 2 of your investments (ie model and investment writeup); i still don't know if it's great to have the return on there (this is not to say it isn't; i just don't know myself), but if you do, and you have this back up, then you will look all the more impressive relatively speaking (this is more for l/s equity funds)
