I'm surprised you're calling Guggenheim low-tier. I would say Guggenheim > DB,UBS , and there are some groups at Guggenheim that are doing as well or even better than other fin institutions (TMT, Healthcare, esoteric structured products). Additionally, their pay is really good. 

The most important question is which group at Citi are you moving to? There is so much turnover that no one will figure out who you are while posting anonymously on WSO lol

 

I would personally prefer to be at Gugg over Citi, unless you are at one of Citi's 1-2 best groups vs. one of Gugg's worst. Or if you intend to leave finance, then Citi makes more sense I guess
