Is it possible to come back from this?

Ignore position - second year analyst let go.

Background:

Target school, <2 years of IBD experience. Was let go under a year within my new role after lateraling from a regional boutique. Feedback was that there was redundancy in my role, didn’t get a ton of work and they realized that my role wasn’t needed. Group was also struggling and the team has a hire and fire culture based on fit.

Not in the US so FINRA does not apply here. Don’t want to expose the coverage group but it was an asset heavy industry.

I began studying for my gmat just in case I need to go back to school and truly start over.

To be honest the hours and the work was manageable but the culture from my team was toxic and unbearable. My mental health was horrible, and as I’ve distanced myself from IBD I feel like I’ve finally gotten my mental health in a good state and feel hesitant about returning to the industry all together but not sure if it’s just because of a bad experience.

Is it possible to come back from this? Is an MBA necessary to truly reset and start over?

I also want to figure out what industry I’m passionate in and develop a speciality I.e tech, real estate or healthcare.
