Is remote internship a lot worse than regular onsite internship?
How are remote internships regarded in the eyes of a recruiter or an analyst? Would people look down upon it compared to a regular onsite internship?

It is unpaid and you just do some company or industry research.
No one knows its remote unless you tell them.
I mean it is pretty obvious if your school is in Evanston and you have a school year internship in New York City.
Was assuming this was for the summer since you didn't specifically indicate this is was an academic year opportunity.
