Is Structured Finance considered IB or CB and is it possible to lateral to M&A?
Is Structured Finance in Europe considered as CB or IB?
From my understanding SF is mainly related to lending and advisory services and it differs from DCM because it deals with more complex instruments than plain vanilla.
As a recent graduate, do you think it would be possible to transfer (internally or externally) to M&A after 6/12 months? If I am interested in M&A would you recommend starting with SF at a big bank (BNP, Deutsche, UniCredit, Santander etc.) or to find a job in a small IB boutique?
