Based on the most helpful WSO content, the WSO Academy offers a comprehensive program designed to boost your chances of landing high finance offers, including Investment Banking (IB) and Equity Research (ER). Here are some key points to consider:

  1. Program Overview:

    • The WSO Academy provides a 12-week program with a high finance offer guarantee.
    • It includes detailed training in financial modeling, valuation, and other essential skills for IB and ER.
  2. Course Content:

    • The WSO Elite Modeling Package, which is part of the Academy, includes six courses covering:
      • Excel Modeling
      • PowerPoint for Finance
      • Financial Statement Modeling
      • LBO Modeling
      • M&A Modeling
      • Valuation Modeling
  3. Interview Preparation:

    • The Academy also offers extensive interview prep courses, including:
      • IB Interview Course with 7,548 questions across 469 IBs.
      • Private Equity Interview Course with 9 LBO modeling tests and more.
  4. Career Services:

    • Additional services include resume reviews, mock interviews with professionals, and access to a global team of mentors.
  5. Value for Money:

    • Many users on WSO have highlighted the value of these resources, especially when compared to the potential return on investment if you secure a high-paying job in IB or ER.
  6. Testimonials and Success Stories:

    • The WSO Academy page features testimonials from past participants who have successfully transitioned into finance roles.

Given these points, the WSO Academy can be a worthwhile investment if you are committed to breaking into IB or ER and want structured, comprehensive training and support. However, it's essential to weigh this against your financial situation and other available resources.

It was an incredible help to me! With weekly office hours, sharing your doubts and the advice of investment bankers who are in the industry every day, they are there for you, ready to guide you and give you the best advice. It's an amazing service! I'm absolutely certain that lifetime access makes this investment an absolute no-brainer! You can use it at different times in your career, so it's a great way to make the most of your money. For instance, if you want to make a lateral move or a jump, you'll always have the support of the WSO team, who are there for you every step of the way! I’d absolutely love to hear from you! You can DM me anytime.

Will second this. if you can’t break into banking with all the free information on this website, don’t spend the $6k bc you shouldn’t be working in this industry to begin with.

I understand trying to break in is very challenging, and have seen people throughout this forum cast doubts on banking as a career and also the future of it. Could you elaborate on why I shouldn’t try to work in the industry?

It sounds like most of the other commenters are under the impression that the $6k is for technical courses/skills. While you do get access to all WSO courses and unlimited boot camps for a year, I found the most value from every other aspect. The academy was helpful for me because of 24/7 access to experienced mentors. You can chat with them privately whenever and you can practice behavioral/technical interviewers with a mentor of your choice. There are several mentors across different areas of high finance. This gives you the opportunity to do a mock with the firm you’re interviewing at for ex

Look I’ll do it for 5K and if you don’t go BB/EB/Buyside money back. Recruiting isn’t that hard. Requirements of 3.7+ gpa at semi target+ or diversity.

I'll be the dickhead.

A career in financial services consists of executing a never-ending string of open-ended, simple but not easy tasks using relationships and analysis. If you cannot complete the first one (getting the job) without hiring a $6k consultant, are you confident you can handle all of the subsequent, way harder tasks?
