Is UNC Chapel Hill a Target School?

Hi everyone, basically what the title says. Is UNC-Chapel Hill a target school or semi-target for IB? Would economics majors be given the same recruiting opportunities as undergrads in the Kenan Flagler Business School? If anyone in the school or knows anyone in the school that can shed some light on this topic would be very helpful

UNC Student here and yes its a solid semi target. to me that means yes you’re a target student but there’s a lot of conditions - either be in KF or have a strong background in another field, high gpa, good networking. with that most options will be open to you outside of Goldman TMT/PJT/evermore/ the likes...

Could you clarify what exactly you mean by "Strong background in another field" like having a high gpa, research relevant to a major say like physics or Biomedical eng something like that?

Went to UNC. Fine school, but the IB hardos might be the worst of any school. It’s an environment where everyone is competing against each other, no one is willing to help each other out unless they already have an offer, and people are definitely willing to put others down in order to prop up their own recruiting odds. It’s somewhat a theme across all the pre-professional groups there, kinda a toxic environment.
