It's been a good run

I must admit its been an amazing couple of years watching this site growth in front of my eyes. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end. With that being said I am sorry but effective Monday, April 14, 2008 Wall Street Oasis will be going offline, indefinitely.

I recently received a promotion from the PE firm which I work for and honestly I just dont have the time to keep up with the site. I appreciate everyone who has contributed and has tried to make this the greatest finance community on the internet.

Cheers,

Patrick

JuwannaMannCheck the date, you idiots. Stop dedicating so much brain power to worrying about internships and learn to take a joke.

you stupid assclown it wasn't April 1 yet when I read it.

APRIL FOOLS! Good one, Patrick! Watch all the idiots above me quickly edit their messages so they don't seem so easily tricked! =)

i can't take credit for this one...that goes to a rogue moderator. although he was kind enough to send me a PM so I knew who it was.

i just got home from work and i am exhausted. so i jump online just to check in and i see that post and it was very surreal.

rest assured WSO isn't going anywhere for a long time.

Only 90 minutes? That was WEAK. You should have crashed the server for an hour or two, at least.

To whoever this "rogue moderator" is may I suggest OFF WITH THEIR HEAD! I want a name, whoever did this should be permabanned from this site. So let the hunt begin.

I was going to say, shouldn't a promotion mean less hours at work and more time to dedicate to the site?
