Jefferies 2016 Summer Analyst Superday
Hey guys,
I have a superday coming up with Jefferies for their Summer Analyst program. I was wondering if anyone had already gone through the process and if so, how was it and how can I best prepare for it.

Will post as well. Are you guys sure they're sending out today? I heard from someone else at the superday that last year offers went out between Tues and Thurs.
believe it is today, at least that's what I was told from an analyst who interviewed me, do think you are right last year it was Wed/Thurs

I heard it was midweek (Tues/Wed) after the superday from a previous Jefferies summer analyst at my school.
waiting as well... maybe the people who got it are too busy celebrating to be posting on this site

I got a call from the associate who referred me (he wasn't involved in the superday)

Same here. Just got the a call from a guy who referred me and wasn't part of the superday either. He let me know i got the offer and would be receiving an email tonight.
Offers don't normally go out all out once, but rather over a couple hours and sometimes days. His case might be special with the associate referring him. For what it is worth, I haven't heard anything back either.
How do you know? A kid at my school got the call today and the email tonight but I'm still waiting for one. I thought I did pretty well... would be surprised if I didn't get it.
I wasn't speaking with knowledge...I just mean that in general (as in not specific to Jefferies) there are numerous factors that can lead to people hearing over the course of a few hours, or a couple days (e.g. you can only call so many people at once). However, assuming that the two people in this thread and the person at your school are all distinct people and telling the truth (which I don't doubt), I would be inclined to believe those who haven't heard back may not have gotten it. While I hope this isn't the case, it isn't looking good.

Has anyone gotten an email from HR asking to rank the groups we want to work in yet?
How big is their summer class this year? If I were a college grad looking to start my career in banking...I would stay away from Jefferies at the moment...just my personal opinion. I haven't seen any good news coming out of that shop for some time now.

Wait, my friend who's at Jefferies this summer didn't get that group ranking email. Also on the onboarding email, it says they are conducting background checks in early April. Should he contact HR or no cause for concern? Seems a bit late to be conducting background checks.
Interesting... I was under the impression that Jefferies was a generalist SA program. didnt accept the offer i got from there though, so I wouldn't know.
