Was at Jefferies this past summer. I think it is a promising place to be around - most of CS FIG's top deals were insurance/spec fin related and those are the MD's that have come over to Jefferies from CS (CS FIG had started to push the needle in FIG IB over the past 2 years before the scandals). Jefferies has also generally been good at poaching MDs from other banks and jumpstarting their practices (eg. Healthcare, Energy and a couple of other groups [most recent one being PCA]). One thing I would say is that the insurance side at CS FIG was very sweaty (compared to their Fintech/bank side) and I think that'll come over with the MDs. A lot of growth opps cuz Jefferies just brought over the MDs for the most part and not the juniors so a lot of hiring happening rn.
