Do you know when your friends received the interview? I applied the one in Jersey, but have not heard anything back yet.
This Monday. But they all choose New York.
btw, there are no on-demand video interviews or online tests for JPM IBD SA program right?

Do you know when will the regular recruiting process start? If I fail the jumpstart (do not have the video interview), can I still take the regular recruiting?
in all honesty, given historical track records, they've already filled 100% of their intern class
So this year there will be no regular recruiting process? All through jumpstart? OMG
At least that's what they did last year - they did all of their recruiting during "coffee chats."
A rather desperate attempt to lock down applicants, if you ask me; none of the other BBs do this. It honestly doesn't shine a very favorable light on the franchise in Asia.
Idk if you guys are talking about IBD, but three of the 2016 global markets summer interns I personally know got their offers in Jan and Feb this year. So clearly they are not filling 100% of their intern class after coffee chats
I was talking about IBD specifically; don't know anything about GCM

For IBD. Did everyone who attended have to do video interviews?
When did you receive the invite to the event? I did the video interview for London Markets but haven't heard back yet.
When did you do yours? Last week? I got mine maybe 3-4 days after doing it... I thought I'd get invited to IBD, but didn't get it...
Two of the friends I referred already got an offer from jumpstart...they interviewed with Asia teams travelling to NYC & Chicago. For them, the process was like this: 1) Video interview. You record a video and submit. 2) Onsite interview with Asia teams (in NYC & Chicago they were 2 MDs, from cash equity & structuring resp., 2 EDs, from credit trading & prime brokerage resp., and 2 ED/VPs from Singapore office, whose roles aren't known to me...). Interviewers could change depending on your location. 3) Interviews usually are followed by a networking event on the evening of interview day 4) Get an offer directly from your hiring manager (Jumpstart is for internship, so your hiring manager for first rotation), or get supplementary phone interviews with people dialing from HK/Singapore.
Hope it helps. Written test in NYC/Chicago was in the format of writing a sales email in Chinese/Korean, which I do not understand the rationale behind...when I went through the jumpstart process last year there was no such thing, but be prepared anyways. I did not have the video thing last year either.

Does everyone who do the video interview get invited to the interviews?
This is quite helpful. Do you think you might be able to provide further insight into the structure of the interview - i.e. is it technical or not, are they looking out for certain characteristic? I think I have 2/3 interviews scheduled, and I'm quite loss at what to say for 30 minutes each...Markets application was quite last minute, and I honestly did not expect it, so I'm kind of freaking out now.
Anyone hear back?
