J.P. Morgan Entertainment Industries Group
Anyobody know anything about J.P. Morgan's Entertainment Industries Group in Los Angeles? I might be in contention for an analyst position there and was interested to find out if anyone knows anyone that works there or has heard anything good about them in terms of dealflow or experiences. Thanks

Think its mostly arranging financing deals for studios and movies, and sometimes smaller things for studios. Interesting if you have a strong interest in entertainment (I considered this group two years ago)....but don't think you'll get the traditional M&A experience as in a product or industry group.

it's ok. you are not going to get HH to drool all over you though even though it's technically jp morgan. It's more like a satellite office kind of feel. If you are in LA, go for other banks where HH actually come to you (CS, Moelis, etc)
I'm not really looking at JP for next summer but I've been reading up on the media/entertainment industry and came across a few discussions on this group. Thanks for your insight.
