The NBA is announcing NBA team expansion details later this year. And there’s been talk that the owner of the Seattle Kraken, an NHL team, is bringing in JP Morgan and Moelis to advise the bid. How would advisory work for this kind of deal, and how would one even specialize in this field. I’m assuming that the JPM Diversified Industrials group and the Moelis Media team are advising on this but correct me if I’m wrong.
