JPM MMBSI or WF IA?

Greetings,

I received offers from WF in their internal audit function and JPM as an MMBSI analyst. I unfortunately did not receive any IB offers.

Which role would be best to lateral into IB or other recommended exit opportunities?

Background:

I’m graduating Summa Cum Laude in accounting from a low tier state school.

I have my FINRA SIE, Series 6, 63, 65, and state insurance license because I’ve worked for a top 4 retail bank during college (to come out debt free).

I just started studying for my CPA and I plan to start a masters program after a year break (to focus on FT work and get in state tuition). I would do the masters either online or an executive MBA at night (probably from a state school to keep costs down, although I imagine I could get into a reputable school).

I interned for the IA function at Wells and formed good relationships with senior leaders, however, I felt overqualified for the work. I didn’t get to use my financial background and that disappointed me. Additionally, a few people there recommended I pursue a different opportunity due to my talents (implying it was a dead end).

I’m trying to balance not putting too much weight on prestige while giving myself opportunities for growth with this decision. This is not a financial decision for me, purely educational.

I greatly appreciate input, thanks.
