Just sent in a sophomore summer application at MS. Anyone else? What's the process from here?
So I've talked to a bunch of folks from MS, and applied to a position through a link I got from an investment club at my school (not sure if we're targets, but we've had enough people work there as interns that it's not rare). I just kinda said screw it, shot my shot, and sent in a pretty good (imo) application. What now? Like, what was the point of talking to all those recruiters and other analysts (I mean other than learning about the job and culture) - do they see my application and help it go through or something? Should I email them and be like "hey I just sent in my application!" Just not sure where to proceed from what felt like a random shot in the dark. I'm sure I sound like I have no idea what I'm doing. Trust me, it's because I don't.
You should definitely follow up with the contacts that you have at MS and inform them that you applied. They will be able to check on it for you and hopefully put in the good word.
