Lateral signing or relo bonuses?
Has anybody been successful in getting a signing bonus or relocation money for lateraling to another bank at the analyst or associate level? Or is this something that only happens at the VP and up level? What do the amounts look like
GS gave me $6,000 relocation (no tax) as 1st year analyst, no signing bonus
Is there any mass shortage of juniors there? Seeing a new posting daily
Looks like it. The TMT group at GS had the best performing 1H in its history in terms of revenue
Received both relocation stipend and amount to cover bonus payback (had to negotiate for the bonus payback). Relocation seemed standard in their lateral contracts as far as I could tell.
Nice, how did the bonus payback work out? Just pro rated for when you jumped ship and based on a median bonus or something?
Bonus payback meaning signing bonus payback. The lateral recruiter assured me I would receive a full year’s bonus, though that has yet to play out.
I received a $10k signing bonus when I joined my MM as an A2
$15k bonus when I lateraled, same with all the other first year analysts
How long were you on the desk before lateraling?
6 months - actually went from buyside / credit to IB
Are these like piper and wb?
