I've been working in an M&A group for over a year, and our team covers a few sectors but does not specialize in any. My hours are typically 80+ per week. I recently received an offer to join a TMT group as an analyst 2 at a well regarded shop and this group has a good amount of deals in the pipeline. Is this a good time to lateral into this space? Ideally I would like to work in growth equity after IB.

TMT should position you well to exit to growth equity. Dealflow is picking back up and it sounds like your new group already has deals in the pipeline so just get a couple deals onto your resume before recruiting
