Lazard Chicago RX in 2021
Couldn’t find much recent stuff in Lazard Chicago RX. How is the culture and deal flow? Is comp in-line with NY?

Hey Intern in IB - Restr, I'm the WSO Monkey Bot and I'm here since nobody responded to your topic! Bummer...could just be unlucky but one of these topics will help shed some light:
More suggestions...
You're welcome.
Sweaty, and mediocre exits (from friends there). I would look for sowmthibg more in-line with PJT, LAZ, or HL in NY.If you can't find info on deals, probably a tell-tale sign lol
Do you know what places have string RX in Chicago?
im more interested in A2A than exiting
This is just factually incorrect. I’m going to EVR RX in NY and saying this. Go ask people at/from your school about Laz RX. If there aren’t any, you’re not getting an offer anyways because there’s no pipeline.
Not sure why this is getting MS, I am going to another EB for RX and I would totally agree that Laz RX is an awesome place to be
Sweaty probably. But you're horribly wrong on the exit part. Global Head of RX is sitting at Chicago, and some of the most recent classes went straight to top MBA, and to Farallon. I don't know how that is mediocre
Will try to provide as much insight as I can since I have a close friend who recently exited and another who is joining FT soon.
Culture: Seems to be super chill and great culture amongst the analysts and associates. All of the associates who are not A2As did high finance before getting their JD or MBA, so no associate drama there apparently
Deal Flow: The global head of LAZ RX sits out of the Chicago office. Also there is another MD who is probably considered one of the biggest rainmakers at Lazard. He started out as an analyst. Cannot provide any names of the deals, but all the deals he brings in goes through the CHI office. Simple tip is to look up his name (he went to Northwestern) at all the high-profile deals Lazard has worked on during COVID
A2A: I have been looking at the CHI office as well since it seems as though the group itself is really focused on retaining talent. I think almost all the MDs at the RX group across NYC and CHI started out as analysts or first-year associates
Exit: KKR, Permira, Farallon, Evergreen Coast (Elliott's PE arm)
Do you have any other info or updates about exits? Other information is super accurate! How hard was recruiting out of Chicago?
Any MF PE exits recently? Just buyout not credit. Also including NYC
Can someone detail this a bit further? Seems like there was some mixed input
