I have an assessment centre coming up for Lazard in London, and was wondering if anyone has attended one recently? Any insights as to what to expect regarding the case study, group exercise, and presentation? Approximately how many candidates typically attend Lazard's ACs?

How was the AC? I have mine coming up and wondering what to expect in terms of the presentation and written exercise.
AC-
Write a report on a company like a one page document , you gotta write like an "an email" explaining briefly what the company is, what its motives are, who the comany its thinking of merging with is etc etc
Then an easy numerical test very similar to SHL
Then a group presentation excersise- each canditate gets a diffrent comany description you must quickly read it you have 10 minutes then you gota talk for 2 mins to the group about the comany you read , everyone talks for 2 mins in turn then you gotta discuss in a group which comapny the company you read about in the morning shuould merge with
Then you gotta do a presentation excersise to someone who works at Lazard ...ie they give ya like an hour to read about a comany then you gotta draw some slides on A3 paper and then present to an MD about the comany you read about....and why they should invest in the comany and also why the industry
and for the write a report task they give you many articles about the comany and also some charts about the comany and you gotta filtere through what would be nessasary to include in the report as it can only be one page --- also you gotta filter through the news articles like which are reliable and which are not etc etc
in the group presesntation task there was like 4 invidulators i think they worked there and theyre watching your leadership skills your communication skills etc etc so its important to speak and take leadership of the group as thats what they looking for imo

Yes!
Laz ACs are very competitive and spots are limited. Usually they take 1-2 out of groups of 4-5. Skewed towards 1. Most of the pipeline is filled through springs and spots are limited. Prepare as much as you can, but fit is key
