Lazard (maybe others?) has in recent years listed "Quantitative M&A" roles- anyone know, not guess, what exactly this is?
There have been threads (https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/quants-in-…) about this before, but all answers were guesses. Couldn't find anyone online with a job title matching this. I spoke with a contact at Lazard AM a while ago and he had no idea either.
