Leonis Partners Reputation?

Anyone ever heard of these guys or have any input on their reputation/culture? Looks like they're hiring analysts, located in NY--small Software company focus. Haven't found much online

My friend worked there. Weird stuff. It's a boiler room, probably going out of business from what I heard. It's run by two ~32 year old guys and they win the few clients they have by spamming thousands of companies per day with calls and emails until something finally sticks.

You're better off working almost anywhere else

Just left here to go buyside. Can say they had one bad MD in Atlanta that spun out to do his own thing ti or something. Once that guy left the place improved overnight two years ago.  Team has grown dramatically, does a ton of fintech and SaaS work and sell-side deals average 80-200mm in size now and top guys are great. Think they are hiring a bunch now as well.  Saw this and realized it was a shame this was posted by the same disgruntled employee that left in Atlanta and that the whole junior team hated. We heard about it from one of his junior guys. Figured time to set the record straight for some good fast growing guys! Wish them continued success.  Robert and team at the top are aggressive, humble and sharp. Awesome mentors!

I agree with the post in April. This place is young & hungry with strong leadership that is growing and provides significant upward mobility. I would not apply to this shop if you are not comfortable "betting on yourself" as this is a flat organization that is focused on rewarding hustle and drive. As an analyst I got more deal experience than my peers at major banks in less time, and while I chose not to stay at the firm it did set me up for a great position in growth equity.

LOL @ 2 guys with no posting history shilling this bucket shop

Honestly great group of guys. Tech deal flow is definitely slowing up market, but these guys keep pushing deals through and beating out other UMM banks for mandates. Def have had friends in IB who've worked lighter hours but also know many ppl that get worked way harder. I know they've expanded their execution team a bunch so their deal flow is probably more manageable these days...

In terms of culture, people there seem to like their jobs much more than ppl i know at other IBs, so if you get it, i'd take it.

Ignoring the weird shill comments in this thread, we invest in the sectors they cover and see decent deal flow from them.  Deals are definitely on the smaller side but they're legit companies and the bankers we've interacted with have been nice/pleasant/knowledgeable.  This is purely outside perspective, so have zero insight as to what it's like actually working there.
