Less kids applying to HBS 2+2 now?
FT recruiting has been a shit show, tons of kids in tech (which 2+2 loves) either don't have jobs lined up or got their offers rescinded. Does this mean the upcoming deferred MBA cycle will be less competitive than usual?
Who’s rescinding offers?
Have heard of offers being rescinded at almost every faang
how competitive is it usually? isn't it like 10% acceptance rate?
EDIT: not implying it's easy, just trying to understand what the difficulty versus regular HBS MBA is.
Yeah it's around 10% but it's much harder for typical finance/consulting applicants since 2+2 heavily favours STEM majors (70%+ stem vs. like 40% in the regular pool) who have offers at tech companies. But this is the exact group who are getting shafted by ft this year.
Why does 2+2 love Tech kids?
Much of the (stated) point of the HBS/GSB program is to get people from the old 2 years IB/consulting (+2 years buyside) -> MBA. So, people with technical skills (engineering etc), ethnic/gender diversity etc.
Sooo anyone have any thoughts?
