I come from a corporate banking background from a Canadian bank, and I recently got an offer to join a top BB's investment grade finance syndication team. My end goal is Lev Fin, but I heard loan syndications is just process driven and you move logos like a machine without doing any analysis.
Can people transfer to Lev Fin or other industry group from IG syndication? I really want to lateral given that our team barely gets any deals.

I haven’t seen it tbh but I’ve seen crazier internal transitions. But you are correct to assume that the analysis aspect of the job is lacking on the syndication team.

IG syndicate to levfin is not easy but probably doable. You will certainly have to restart as an A1
