Lone Star / Hudson Advisors

Hi guys - been screening the PE universe in Europe and came across Lone Star / Hudson.

I've read the multiple threads already, but I was not able to find any insights on the London office and activities in Europe. I'm aware of the different scope between Lone Star (PE) and Hudson (portfolio management).

Any intel on working hours, culture / atmosphere / environment and comp, respectively for Lone Star and Hudson, particularly for the corporate PE (non real estate)?

Thanks a lot guys, super appreciated the help

Hey bankingzen, I'm the WSO Monkey Bot and I'm here since nobody responded to your thread! Bummer...could just be time of day or unlucky (or the question/topci is too vague or too specific). Maybe one of these topics will help:

Can't speak to London, but Lone Star culture/hours have for many years been very rough in the US with a lot of turnover. They are pretty active in Europe, so can't imagine they are treating the London guys way better.

If you do a search for Dallas PE they come up fairly regularly under that discussion - London office is different of course, but will give you more insight on them in general

Won't lgive away too much info (as team is very small), but hours are rough in London and culture is pretty sweaty (ex GS MBD etc.). Generally a very solid shop and comp is very good from second hand sources

On the RE side, what sort of opportunities does Lone star look at? I heard whispers of a mega fundraise for a European fund but haven’t heard anything after. Where would you rank it in terms of career opportunities at London RE firms at an/assoc level? How’s senior leadership (heard Graykin’s hard to work for and know some former MDs/heads have left office).
