Looking for Advice and Friends

Hello,

Coming up with this forum recently, I have read some topics related to IB but I am persuaded it would be great to find friends who could give some advice about the application process and if it works well about life as an ibanker.

To sum up my story, I am a 26 years old law school (non french) student who wants to break in IB, I have above average grades for my University, which is considered to be the best law school in France. I know it doesn't sound "ideal" so far and it doesn't go any better, since I was unable to choose my cursus, I don' have many finance related courses other than some Micro/Macro Economics / Contemporary problems in Economics and accounting.

On the other hand, I ran our family business abroad during my studies, which required accounting, presentations of products and our (financial) capacity to execute orders, speaking two languages actively other than my native language, being able to travel on short notice and negociate deals.

Questions; 1- Is it even possible for me to get an internship as analyst or a full time offer, considering my background? 2- Would I disqualify for opportunities in US because I apply from abroad and don't have American citizenship, even if I don't need an official sponsorship for a visa and willing to undertake procedures on my own? how can I emphasize this on my resume? 3- How can I leverage for my enthuisiasm for absence of cultural fit?

                                                                                                                                                             *IBcurious*
