Lots of Finance Electives /w Liberal Arts Major vs. Business Major with Less Finance Courses
Hi so I am currently a junior at USC (going to take an extra semester though), and was initially prelaw. Anyway here's my situation:
Currently random liberal arts major (think history/political/science/ect.), with 3.8 . If I stick with my current major I'll be able to take 8 or so finance electives (valuations, investments, , and all the interesting finance classes).
If I were to change my major to Business I would only have room for 1 or 2 finance electives, and would have to take a ton of classes that don't interest me at all - such as microecon for business, a couple math classes, marketing, and so on.
Anyway should I just suck it up and change my major to business, and is my random major + finance electives going to automatically get my resume thrown out at most banks? And is my current major going to be some liability that I have to qualify for the rest of my career?
Thanks
Also I have two internships so far noname wealth management / consulting if that matters.
