I made $60,000 all in last year at a "no-name" boutique. Needless to say, I lateraled.
48.5k with around $500 in bonus.
23k in British Pounds (~35K US). Not sure what the bonus was, but this was way back in the day at a now defunct bank.
Was Recently offered $65 base first year post MBA (top 10) associate at tiny no name boutique in major city. They ended up raising to $75. Took corp dev offer with real pay instead.
just curious, were you really serious about IBD before you got into a top 10 MBA? I mean like did you practice modeling, networking before even stepping foot on campus to have a good shot at a Summer Associate position at a BB? I was going to do my MBA and (hopefully) get into a top 10 school... but idk if I want to be $150k in debt and possibly only get $75k base from a no name boutique as an analyst......$100k base would be like my minimum
No, I didn't consider doing banking pre-mba and didn't even apply to any banks in the first year. Only after my summer in F100 company did I think about applying for banking. That 75k offer was a 1 off and had another banking offer with 100k base at big international bank.
$50k
$42,500 at a pub fin boutique
€24,000 base salary + €12,000 bonus at a European M&A boutique
On the other front, what's the highest first year salary you've ever heard?
If you count sign-on bonuses, I am sure the first-years at Centerview are clearing $200k.
I have heard good things about Centerview's compensation. It's a three-year program, which many might object to, but the money apparently isn't bad.
I'm getting $55k base plus bonus (around $10-20k) this year.
Don't mean to sound rude, but slightly curious - isn't it a little low for a HF guy?
I've seen lower.
@astfin-juki Unfortunately it is...I think since I don't have any IB experience that's why I started lower than other first year HF people.

I'm at a "no-name" boutique with $55k base and year bonus of $10-$15k for half a year.
asfavabasbsabas
