Help - Middle Office Collateral, Job evolution?

Hello guys,

I would like to ask you an advice please.

I have an opportunity to join the French investment bank Credit Agricole (I live in Paris), however I don’t know if it’s a good opportunity to go in front and become trader.

I have good understanding of how financial markets work as I follow them almost every day, also I master the classic derivatives as futures, options, swaps…

So my question is, is it a good opportunity to become trader or portfolio manager in a asset management company after few years?

On the other side I have the opportunity to join a little engineering company as a financial director which is a very interesting opportunity, so I have no idea what to do. Is the Credit Agricole opportunity in the Middle office collateral worth it ?

Thank you
