Moelis Tech NYC post-SBV integration
Curious for color on Moelis' Tech group in NYC now that the dust has settled with the SVB acquisition. Are things as bad culture/hours-wise as other Moelis groups? What tech sub-verticals do they focus on?
Not Moelis, but ex-UBS: the SVB/UBS Tech guys are really good seniors and should've brought good culture. On the other hand, it's Moelis, so things probably balance out to being mediocre at best culture. If anyone at Moelis has the rare bit of free time, feel free to chime in.
They are great bankers but they grind hard. I see them as a perfect fit for Moelis culture. They all cut their teeth at Jefferies prior to UBS so not exactly WLB focused.
