Thanks, this is what I'm personally leaning towards. I understand that I likely don't appreciate PWP's better culture right now, but I have a lot of respect for Moelis on everything else. I know some really smart people there and like the hybrid RX program.
Where are these simps for PWP coming from and have any of them worked at any EB? Culture is comparable with Moelis (Yes, Moelis is a sweat shop but very collegial) and works past 1am all the time. They had one good year with a few mega deals (not even exclusive advisors).
These interns gotta learn to shut up when you don't understand it.
Just wondering, what concerned you about the volatility and culture at the senior level in terms of for your own experience and career that led you to re-recruit for FT?
I'm planning on being a career banker, and as a result I was definitely more concerned about long-term stability and office politics at the higher level as that'd affect me more down the line.
PWP unless you're into distressed stuff. For M&A, PWP is much better imo especially given most of Moelis mandates are MM to UMM. Comps are similar or slightly higher at PWP with better culture/hour/people. Exits from PWP looks a notch above especially this year, and it's not hard to find Moelis analysts exited to mediocre fund (many go to top funds don't get me wrong).

As much as everyone hypes up PWP (they're a fantastic shop), I would still take MoCo over PWP in everything except culture.

I believe NYC will no longer be generalist next year

Bro you need to get a life LMFAO
PWP imo. Can get comparable deal experiences, exits, etc with better culture and likely fewer hours
Would go PWP. They seem like the place to be right now
PWP higher on LT for 2021, have placed exceptionally well into PE/HF last year, and everyone there is super chill. Can’t go wrong my man

AN at PWP here, this does not matter one bit if you are looking to exit after analyst years
