Anyone familiar with these two banks in HK? esply when it comes to the coversion rate from SA to FT, do they hire FT mainly from their summer class??

GS/MS Low conversion (40%)
JPM/CS/UBS/DB = very high conversion.
JPM and CS both had close to 100% conversion last year.
i had a friend at a lower BB HK and got an offer
then he leveraged it into a FT GS IBD offer
MS IBD for sure. Remember even if you did not get return offer from MS, you can put this SA experience on the table when interviewing with other BB later. They value it. Contrarily, if you didn't manage to secure a return offer from DB, it would be hard to convice people that you are quilified for FT in later interviews with other BB. Which BB would take people that loses a return offer from a high conversion/lower end BB?
i would go MS... MS was pretty high last year.
At MS, summer associate conversion was very very low last year. Don't know about Analyst level or at DB.
That said, MS has a much stronger IBD than DB.
I guess worldwide, MS IBD is stronger than DB, but in Asia,,,,,,they are equally solid

i dont agree. DB's IBD in HK is quite weak. They're more known for S&T in Asia.
So for HK in particular, MS >>>>>>>>>>>>>DB
MS shiats all over DB in Asia.. the DB office is a mess right now with crazy office politics at the MD level. In Asia DB is more known for S&T and debt..
son if you have to ask, you should go with DB. you'll fit in better.
