Morgan Stanley M&A HK vs Apple Supply Demand Planning California
Hi guys!
Would love to seek your opinions regarding a decision that I have to make soon.
Background of myself:
1. MBA 2nd year from top 10 US school
2. Received offers from Apple's WorldWide Supply Demand Planning in Cupertino;
3. Morgan Stanley Hong Kong IB (M&A) team; and
4. Google Shanghai as a Sales Account Manager (not sure whether I'll be in the LCS/ GMS team yet).
Ultimately I would love to work in VC/ Corp Dev in Tech, ideally in US.
My background: worked in top BB in Ops/ Prime Brokerage/ Sales in AM for 6 years. Completed my CFA. Interned in BB IB TMT in NYC over the summer. Unfortunately due to my international student status, didn't receive a FT offer but regardless if I were to do banking, I prefer SF/ HK over NYC.
Apple's location is fantastic and l realised it's the exit option of plenty of ex-MBB and bankers. I've spoken to a lot of ex-IB folks and I wonder what the progression is like and whether internal mobility is possible.
MS HK IB is a very solid group and I love everyone I've met. The only downside is I'm not sure what the probability would be to move back to US.
Google Shanghai is a wildcard. Team is amazing. Internal mobility both in terms of function and geography is highly likely.
Would appreciate any inputs from the group!
Thanks!
