Morgen, Evan, & Co.
Does anyone have any information about this firm? It seems that they have done well in Asia, but what about their NY office? On their website they list tombstones, but without deal size

My friend interned with their NY office, bad experience, she hated the culture (not much of a learning experience, basically just lots of pitches). Just one experience but there's a data point for you. She said deal flow seemed minimal but this was last year so bad timing. Not trying to dump on the firm just giving an accurate reflection of my friend's experience.
sent you a PM
Hey, I'm about to interview for them now. Can you guys also send me some info? I would really appreciate it.
this is a great underrated shop, i would go in a heartbeat over a lot of good mm's like jefferies and wiesel
Can you comment about GutShot's post? That one got me a little worried. Have you interviewed with them before?
FF was trolling, don't listen to that post haha. Jefferies and former Wiesel were far superior.
That's what I thought. If it was you, would you choose BB Ops, or a firm like Morgen, Evan for IB? For a fall/spring part-time spot.
you would be an idiot to choose BB Ops over a banking internship there....
I work for a PE fund, so not that relevant. But interesting post!
brining this back I guess, but anyone else have any feedback on this boutique?
PM me if anyone has info on interviews here please
Any updates here?
I'd like to know more about Morgan, Evan & Co too.
I'd like to know more about this boutique as well, besides the fact majority of interns seem to be from NYU (LinkedIn search)
I have a close friend who is interning at Morgen, Evan & Co. and she is a Sophomore from Baruch College. From her experience that she shared, they are M&A shop and focus on cross-border investments between US and China companies. The president is Mark Lerner who head of the Japan corporate finance Group at Chase Manhattan Bank and head of the Japan Group of the investment banking division of Merrill Lynch, so he has a lot of contacts to attract business. Feel to contact me if you would like to get in touch with my friend for more information.
Can anyone tell me about their interview please? Thank you!

The president Mark Lerner is an awesome guy. I worked for him this past summer. He's spending most of his time in Shanghai now and business there going very strong. Contact them at +86 (21) 6115-4920 if you want to seek an internship at their Shanghai office. It is in the French concession of central Shanghai.
Their Shanghai office is in a decent office building in Shanghai: Hong Kong Plaza South Tower, Suite 1108, 283 Central Huaihai Road, Shanghai, People’s Republic of China 200021
