Most Underrated Skill when Recruiting

Reposting bc people found helpful

If you're a freshman or sophomore thinking about banking recruiting, listen up.

Everyone talks about networking, studying technicals, narrowing down your "story", and blah blah blah. All that other boring shit that spews out of everyone's mouth. However, NO one talks about the immense effort needed to organize your deadlinesfirms, people to network with, interview tips, and general recruiting timeline

My view? Organization is the most important part about recruiting. If you're a lazy piece of shit like I was, then you're going to miss:

  1. Deadlines

  1. Forget to schedule networking calls

  1. Have no idea about the difference between a bulge bracket bank and an EB other than the fact that a bulge bracket is bigger lmao

"Am I fucked bc I'm a lazy piece of shit?"

Good news for you, I randomly dug up my old master organizational spreadsheet which is newly updated to track over 200+ banks and buyside shops. I also met with a friend to add some consulting shit. Drop a comment and PM and I'll reach out to send it your way. If you only comment, I probs can't send bc my PM limit is only 2 people/day

Happy to help,

Hoos
