Hi all - there's a post about MS IBD on here for 2021 but the GCM comments get lost in all of the traditional IBD comments. I wanted to start a post to keep up to date on the timeline.
I go to a nontarget but I was fortunate enough to land a GCM first round a couple of weeks ago. Has anyone heard back from their first rounds yet?

Bump. Has ANYONE gotten a superday for GCM this cycle? It’s taking especially long so I’m just wondering if I’m dinged (my interview ~3 weeks ago)
Dang I'm IB not GCM and I was worried because I had my first round on 2nd and still haven't heard back yet. My invitation said interviews finished on 11th but main thread already talked about some IB superdays. Sorry I know this wrong place to vent but hopefully we both get SD's

Same. Mine was for IB though but maybe they're just back tracked on something else? I think if we don't hear back next week we got cut for sure. Heard some diversity GCM have taken place though.

How technical was the first round? Just curious
For me, not very technical. It was with an alum so that may have made the interview easier.
Are we supposed to specify in the interview if we want LevFin vs. DCM vs. ECM and why? Or is it all generalist?
Hi I interviewed for the first round of 2021 HK GCM SA on September 11. And received a follow up email last Thursday asking for my additional information (sign of coming superday after asking some friends). Still haven't got the exact date but probably this week.

I did a first round for HK 3 weeks ago. No update ever since. I would assume they moved on with other candidates.
