Multiple certifications at the same time

Hey everyone,

I know this topic has been discussed a lot before, and I understand the reasons why some might advise against it.

However, I’m confident that I can complete several certifications by the time I graduate, specifically: CFA (Level II), CPA, CFP, and CMT. After passing mocks for each of them, I’m certain that I wouldn’t need an excessive amount of time to prepare, so the question of opportunity cost isn’t really a factor here.

For some context, I’m an international student from a super non-target school, triple-majoring in Finance, Accounting, and Mathematics, finishing up my sophomore year. I’m aiming to break into Equity Research (ER). I previously interned on the buy-side with a small hedge fund during the summer of my freshman year and have another similar ER internship lined up with a different firm this summer. I’ll also be doing a search fund internship during the first semester of my junior year.

Given my background and goals, do you think completing all of these certifications would enhance or potentially hurt my resume? If you believe it could be detrimental, which certification(s) do you think I should prioritize or drop?

Thanks in advance for your insights!
