Need Help With School Decision!

Hi, I need help deciding which school I should go to (the best for getting into ibanking). I already am aware of the main target schools but I do not have the grades for them.

Here is the list of schools I am applying to, please it would be greatly appreciated if people let me know the top 3 choices out of the ones I'm choosing from and also if they know anyone from these schools- Thank you in advance!

Bentley University, Babson College, Baylor University, Texas A&M, University of Denver, Marquette University, Southern Methodist University, University of Portland.

Again, Please let me know which of these schools is probably the best to break into iBanking and also leave any helpful information you would like to let me know.

MUCH APPRECIATED!

I transferred to University of Denver two years ago and will be completing my undergrad next spring. JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs both recruit here regularly (though primarily SLC office for Goldman), as well as a bunch of local boutique/mm investment banks. I know of a few people who went to New York for IBD this last year. I am doing a summer PE internship right now through the school too.

I honestly don't know much about the other programs, but at DU we have an Investment Banking & Capital Markets Club, a CFA partnership and challenge, and a class that allows select students to manage a ~$200k, long only portfolio. The finance program, and some of the professors in particular, are great.

That all being said, the administrative aspect of the school has been a fucking nightmare more often than not.

Thanks for the nice response! Does Denver have many job fairs? Also, would you still go to Denver if you could do it again, or choose another school?

Yeah, there are a decent amount of job fairs I guess. Probably only a few that are really applicable to investment finance though. The business schools from all the universities in Colorado do a couple together each year that are solid.

I actually grew up in Denver so it made my decision a lot easier. Honestly, in less I could have gotten into a top-tier, ivy league type of school, DU was where I wanted to be.

Marquette University has a great program for seniors called AIM that is a direct shoot to Wall Street. Also, really strong Alumni involvment.Make sure you check it out before making your decision.
