Need Opinions
I need help on a decision from you guys:
I have two "options":
1) I can go to Bocconi for a MSc Finance (2yr program), which is a good program in Europe for BBs in London. This would be the safe option.
2) However, I am thinking about applying to Harvard for Special Student status and take a few postgrad course (mostly 2nd year MBA courses) and re-apply to MSc programs across Europe and this time around the US as well (NYU, Princeton etc.)
Obviously, the 2nd option is the riskier option, as I can't be sure to be accepted at Harvard and maybe I will not be accepted at any schools either.
Goal is to work for a BB in London or (preferably) NY.
Thanks for the help.
How difficult is it to obtain Special Student status at Harvard? Does the program accept the GMAT or SAT?
I don't know how difficult it really is, however I don't think they require any test scores.
I would not suggest spending a lot of $$ taking classes that don't lead to a degree. Bocconi seems like the better option to me. There are also a handful of postgrad programs outside of LSE/oxbridge in the UK that are good.
Yeah the money is a concern to me as well, but fact is that the name alone seems to make companies wanna give you interviews...Bocconi seems like a good choice, but the thing is that I am on LSE's reserve list but don't think i will get an offer since i don't think anyone will reject their offer - which pisses me off big time...and I thought that the harvard + LSE combination would give me a better profile for BBs in NY for example.
Does anyone know whether Bocconi's got a strong network in NY?
Do the broccoli one.
