Networking through Email

Hello, I'm a sophomore at a non target school in NYC and am currently recruiting for 2020 IB internships. Recently, I got to talking with my neighbor, who's brother happens to be an Executive Director at a BB. I've asked him if he could me introduce to his brother and he gave me his email and asked me to reach out. I have never really reached out to anyone through email and was wondering what's the protocol here to make a good impression. Should I ask him if he could meet in person for a chat, considering the fact he's probably pretty busy and that we don't really know each other? What should I include in the email to let him know about my commitment to pursue a career in IB? Thanks!
