Semi-related, but anyone know how Simmons' office looks? SA 2021 there, but didn't have a chance to visit the office due to corona stuff.

With all these anonymous posts its hard to tell if you're the OP or not.

I've visited a lot of the Houston offices or at least got coffee chat at their building, here's my opinion separated by sections but no particular order within sections:

Top notch:

JPM - Renovated, glass walls, center location, can't beat it

GS - Same as JPM

Citi - Same as above

RBC - Very high floor (think it's 30+), fantastic view, huge space, center location

BAML - Moved to a new building a couple years ago and ditched their own BAML tower, very fancy

Simons - This one was on the edge of top notch or middle, but remembered nice office layout, looked new and clean, very high floor and central location

Middle of the pack:

CS - In the old BAML building, a little aged but still decent

Jefferies - Renovated and nice, but not really in the center of Houston where all the good food is

Houlihan Lokey - Pretty small office in a tower connected to a food court, nothing spectacular but at least lots of convenient food

Scotiabank - Across from the old BAML building, they do have a free sandwich fridge for analysts, decent but nothing spectacular

Intrepid Financial Partners - Average office, when I visited a year ago it seems they were still setting some things up cuz they are pretty new

Guggenheim - Was in their building but not office, I believe it's the same building/area as CS/Scotia, can't imagine it being that much better, same applies to BMO but they shut down

Keybanc - Forgot the exacts but they were in a building with no other banks, not bad though

Negatively affecting the work environment:

Barclays - I know they are a top energy bank, but I have to say for a top bank their office is on a low floor, has few windows and overall a little depressing

Wells Fargo - The worst office I visited, felt the air was tight and stuck in a jail when I toured their office, 10/11 floor in their own tower, about no windows and majority of the bullpen is cramped dead center in a large office space with MD/VP offices "surrounding" the bullpen, overall got bad vibes

Greenhill - Heard their Houston office caught COVID soooo

Note the banks that I did not visit are not included.

It sounds like you were kicked out of more offices than the people from The Big Short - lol!

Note the banks that I did not visit are not included.

Good idea . . .

Gotcha, I guess I didn't know cuz I didn't visit the other three banks
