Non business masters - associate?

So I'm intrigued by the idea of leaving banking or even PE in the next couple years and going back to school.I know it's not completely uncommon for those pursuing JDs to go into banking rather than law (or I've seen it happen on many occasions)I'm not going to shit on an MBA, I'm sure they're great programs that teach you business. But they seem more like a professional break and a credentialer than a true value add to any sort of knowledge.
