Non-Target School Breaking into Top-Tier MBA program

I am currently a junior in college and have my internship lined up for this summer with a top BB. However, I did not go to a target school and do not have the best GPA. I would like to think I have solid extracurriculars and have worked at a trading firm for over a year during my undergrad (providing context not bragging).

What would be some tips anyone may have (other than focus on return offer) to begin trying to strengthen my candidacy for a top tier MBA program in a couple of years. Any info or insight from personal experiences would be extremely helpful. Thank you!

HBS alum here.

I think building up an alternative transcript is the way to go for you. You could do this with a 1-year terminal Master's degree with all A's, or if you don't have the time/funds to do that, take a few courses for-credit and crush them with A's.

Also do the best you can in the GMAT.

Good luck!
