not trolling, actually curious- how are these schools represented in IBD?

Brown, Dartmouth, Tufts, and Emory.

Reason I ask is they all are good schools, (as tough to get into as NYU/UVA) but I assume that the population of students who want to head to the street isn't as high as other top schools?

no, I'm not trolling. Actually curious. I mean, they are all great schools, so I'd really like to know if Brown, which is great, places.has more kids on the street, for example, then UVA>

cornell and dartmouth are excellent, cornell does very well with recruiting and from my friends who go there dartmouth sends more kids to BBs/PE/HF per capita than almost any other school. plus for both schools there's less competition for spots since kids are less gung-ho on finance. heard good things about emory.

tufts is a better school (as in better student body) than NYU or UVA but doesn't place well from what i've seen

i'd say dartmouth>cornell>NYU stern/UVA mcintire>NYU/UVA>Tufts for recruiting only

WishYouWereHerei'd say dartmouth>cornell>NYU stern/UVA mcintire>NYU/UVA>Tufts for recruiting only
This is very accurate given what I've seen at all the superdays I've participated in lately.
I am permanently behind on PMs, it's not personal.

answered my question, thanks man.

I don't know if you are choosing a school to go to, but I think it's telling that Brown and Tufts do not have a business school. Nor do they have anything that resembles an undergrad business program. They're good schools, but if you're trying to place into IBD, not the right places.

neither do williams, amherst, etc. also, harvard, yale, princeton, stanford, etc. don't have ug business programs, and they are great.

but i'd agree that brown and tufts are great schools that don't do well for IBD

Tufts is not good for IBD recruiting. A couple banks go and interview, but only about 5 kids each. Career Services is not focused on finance there. I knew a couple kids that landed great IBD jobs but it was almost all from good networking.
