Yeah, I have a thought -- that's awful. How can a large organization be that weak that it's willing to just shit on the students' resume like that? Not even offer them a half-assed virtual internship so at least they can project the image that they had a legit internship?

I don’t think they are big......tho they r publicly traded...

not that suprised. Oppenheimer doesn't ever give ft offers to sa. check their site - it says sa have to reapply for ft. i imagine they're pretty generous with those offers, but at the same time this only makes sense for them.

Crap, man, sorry to hear that. maybe you can spin it into good story for FT recruiting.

haha im not working at Oppenheimer. didn't get the offer so maybe im a little salty, but it always struck me as odd that they never gave ft offers directly from sa.

And nice that they waited til May to tell the interns they need to look for a new job.

As an incoming SA at another MM firm (although definitely larger than Oppenheimer) I'm sweating bullets rn lol.

Wow. I get that they cancelled their intern program, but a dick move to tell you on May 1st to look for a new job :'(

they reported first quarter earnings....that is why

they reported first quarter earnings on 05/01.....and they announced the SA cancellation........
