Yeah, I have a thought -- that's awful. How can a large organization be that weak that it's willing to just shit on the students' resume like that? Not even offer them a half-assed virtual internship so at least they can project the image that they had a legit internship?

not that suprised. Oppenheimer doesn't ever give ft offers to sa. check their site - it says sa have to reapply for ft. i imagine they're pretty generous with those offers, but at the same time this only makes sense for them.

haha im not working at Oppenheimer. didn't get the offer so maybe im a little salty, but it always struck me as odd that they never gave ft offers directly from sa.
how do they not give ft offers to interns unless they reapply? they must be the only investment bank that does this haha
not sure. i think they are the only bank with any name that does this. maybe someone more familiar with opco could input but I believe that's the MO.
I rejected Stifel for this and they gave full time offers lol officially cucked for full time recruiting

right....least they could've done is cancelled 2 months ago when SA 2020 positions were starting to be questioned. not wait until its too late for any other positions...
As an incoming SA at another MM firm (although definitely larger than Oppenheimer) I'm sweating bullets rn lol.

they reported first quarter earnings on 05/01.....and they announced the SA cancellation........
