Optimal level of effort for a v1 deck

How much effort do you usually put in when you’re tasked to create a first version of a powerpoint? On a spectrum with 0 being just sketching out a skeleton/framework to 10 being a fully finished, polished out deck, what’s the best way to approach it?

For context, I’m interning at a small regional bank during my sophomore summer. I am trying to figure out whether to prioritize timeliness to increase the turnaround of iteration cycles, or quality on a first version of a task, especially since I tend to receive a ton of comments after v1 that heavily change the direction of the deck a lot. I’m not sure what the norm is, and I want to know what the best practices are before things really matter during my junior year summer internship. I’d appreciate any insight from those of with actual experience on the desk, thanks!

Bump honestly would love to know as well as an AN1. I am trying to make all my first drafts perfect and it seems semi-unsustainable in terms of hours.

OP here — this is exactly what I’m thinking. I’m not sure if those extra hours spent creating a perfect product is sustainable if it won’t matter after a few review cycles
