Out of Luck

I have a question. Worst case scenario, I go through interviews but I am unable to convert any of them into FT offers. What happens then? Do some banks recruit later on during the year, as opposed to only in September/October? And also, if banks still have openings after FT recruiting, would they be available after FT recruiting season, say during the end of first semester?

Thanks!

A friend of mine got through to final rounds but was lacking any SA experience, so he was put onto a "second tier" candidate list. He didn't figure this out until he was called back through his contact at that bank a few months later (January). Not sure if this is common or not...

I believe this is how most banks do it, although it is not advertised. Essentially they have offers out to other candidates they deemed more/better qualified and they are waiting their responses. If enough people take offers from other banks and turn down the ones from the bank your buddy interviewed at he will get an offer. The issue is, there is no way to tell how far down the list and it basically all comes down to chance.
