Outlook Folder Setup?

What does your outlook folder set-up look like for a live deal?

I usually have the following subfolders:

Marketing Materials (CIP/Teaser/MP) Financials / Model Buyers Lenders VDR / IRL QoE Market Study Weekly Update Diligence Scheduling

I try to file away every email I get into one of those folders. Some of these folders have subfolders like buyers, lenders and diligence.

Curious to hear about your guys' structures. I know a few people who have 0 folders and I can't comprehend how they stay on top of things.

I personally use only 2 folders per deal: admin and documents. That way if I need to pull up a document that has been shared during a call I have quick access. The structure you shared looks more like our shared drive where a save a backup of all documents sent/received

Looking forward to hearing others’ way of working

I just raw dog it, emails come in - if it requires a response or gives me a to-do I either knock it out right there, or add a note to  rolling notes app doc with reminders for follow ups/action items. Then comb through every single email at the end of the night one by one. People probably think I'm insane but am just way too lazy to do all the clean and tidy filing. You get pretty good at filing things in your memory and searching outlook for names/keywords becomes a skill.

Why a buyer folder? Wouldn’t buyer discourse be covered within the broader client folder when you’re advising on a sell-side?
