People who work/worked in FIG IB at a BB: does FIG really pigeonhole you as bad as people say?

Are people just FIG haters or does working in FIG at a BB (GS/JPM/MS) really make a difference in your career?

Would be curious to hear about common exits to PE or HF. Also how difficult would it be to switch into another coverage group? What are the best verticals to get exposure in? Any insights on the groups’ culture?

Agreed. Went from FIG BB (not a top one) to MFPE Generalist and never had people look down on my background. Got very far in every single process at all the MFs without issue. Coming from non-target school as well.
